Charlotte Kool joins Fenix-Deceuninck with immediate effect

Fenix-Deceuninck is delighted to announce the arrival of Dutch sprinter Charlotte Kool, who joins the team with immediate effect and has signed a contract running through the end of 2028.

The 26 years old Charlotte Kool brings proven top-level sprinting power to the squad. In 2024 she claimed two stage victories at the Tour de France Femmes and wore the yellow jersey for two days, underlining her ability to perform on the sport’s biggest stage. While Fenix-Deceuninck already boasts a strong climbing and Spring Classics unit, the addition of Kool is set to further strengthen the team’s capabilities in fast finishes over the coming years.

Kool is expected to make her debut for Fenix-Deceuninck in the coming weeks, once she has fully recovered from her crash in the Baloise Ladies Tour, this Summer.

Charlotte Kool:

"I am ready for a new chapter in my career. From the very first conversation with the team I had an immediate and genuinely good feeling about their mentality, and the trust they placed in me. Of course, making a move halfway the season comes with its challenges, but it feels right. I've been welcomed with open arms and I can't wait to race in my new colors. This new environment gives me a lot of extra motivation."

Management statement:

"Charlotte’s arrival is undoubtedly a boost for Fenix-Deceuninck. With all-rounder Puck Pieterse and our climbing strength already in place, we are confident that her sprinting talent will allow us to compete for victories across an even broader range of races."

"We would like to thank Charlotte's management as well as her former team Picnic PostNL for the smooth and constructive cooperation that made this transfer possible."
